Privacy Policy

Where this service is available
This service is offered only to users located in the United States and Canada. We use IP-based geographic blocking to restrict access outside these regions.
What we process
When you submit the form, we process the job description text you paste in, the tone, length, and applicant-filter settings you choose, and — if you provide one — your access code. We also see your IP address as part of handling the request and enforcing the geographic and usage limits described below.
How your text is processed by AI
We use DeepSeek's API to generate your rewrite. That means the job description text you submit is transmitted to DeepSeek's servers for processing. DeepSeek's own terms confirm that data they collect is processed and stored in the People's Republic of China.
On whether DeepSeek uses your input to train their models: DeepSeek's general privacy policy states that data may be used to improve their services and train their models, and separately mentions a user opt-out right for training — but that policy explicitly excludes data submitted by end users of apps built on their developer API (which is how we use it) from its coverage, and DeepSeek's Open Platform Terms of Service (the document that actually governs API usage) do not make an explicit statement either way about whether Input content is used for model training, or offer a documented opt-out for that data. We are not able to represent to you that your input is or isn't used for training — we don't have a confirmed answer from DeepSeek on this point. If you're submitting information you wouldn't want potentially reflected, in any form, in a future model, we'd recommend not including it.
What we store on our servers
- Job description text: not saved to a database. It's used in memory to generate your result and then discarded from our systems.
- Access codes: if you purchase a pack of runs, we store the access code itself and its remaining run count and expiration date (valid for 60 days) so we can honor it on future visits. This is tied to the code, not to your name, email, or any account.
- Usage metadata: timestamps, whether a request succeeded or failed, and your IP address, which we use to enforce the free trial limit (3 runs per year per IP address), enforce our US/Canada availability restriction, and spot abuse. We do not attach this to a name or account. If an access code verification attempt fails, we log the IP address and the fact that it failed — never the code value itself — for abuse monitoring.
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe collects billing details and the email address you provide at checkout (for your receipt, which includes your access code) under its own privacy policy. We store a reference linking your completed purchase to your generated access code for a limited time so we can direct you back to the app after checkout.
What stays in your browser
To save you from losing your work, your in-progress job description and settings are autosaved to your browser's local storage, and a redeemed access code is saved there too so you don't have to re-enter it. This data lives on your device, not on our servers, and persists across page refreshes and browser restarts until you clear it — either by completing/clearing the form, removing your code from the access-code panel, or clearing your browser's site data yourself.
What we don't collect
We don't require an account, and we don't collect your name or email address ourselves. (If you purchase a pack, Stripe collects payment and billing information as noted above.)
Your rights
We do not sell your personal information. Depending on your state or province, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of data we hold about you (for example, an access code's remaining balance). Because we don't collect names or accounts, we can generally only act on requests tied to information you can provide us directly, such as an access code or IP address. Contact us at the email below to make a request.
Children
This service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your choices
If you'd rather not share job description text with us or with DeepSeek, don't use the tool. By using the service, you understand your input is processed as described above to generate a response.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the revised policy here with a new "last updated" date.
